Areas of Interest

Prof. Suman Datta is the director of ASCENT, a microelectronics research center.

His primary areas of research interest are:

• Nanoelectronic device design, fabrication, characterization, compact modeling and their circuit applications for next-generation energy efficient and high performance computing
• Exploration of emerging electronics to enable new compute models in the areas of in-memory computing, acceleration of machine learning, neuromorphic computing, stochastic computing and cryogenic computing.
