Haenggi on Clarivate Analytics’ Highly Cited Researchers List

The University of Notre Dame, Department of Electrical Engineering, Frank M. Freimann Chair Professor, Martin Haenggi has–for the second year in a row–received the honor of being placed on Clarivate Analytics’ Highly Cited Researchers list (2017, 2018).

Clarivate recognizes researchers for their dedication, focus and tireless work towards the advancement of scientific discovery and innovation. Haenggi is among an elite few renowned for exceptional research performance. The honor is bestowed upon researchers that produce multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in Web of Science.

Haenggi reflected on once again receiving this recognition, "I am very pleased and honored to learn that I was again selected as a Highly Cited Researcher. This form of peer recognition through citations highlights the impact of our work in the field of wireless communications and networking. It is a reflection of the excellent work of all my collaborators, at Notre Dame and other universities."

Haenggi, concurrent professor of applied and computational mathematics and statistics, and affiliated member of the Wireless Institute, was ranked among the highly cited scholars for computer science. He is the editor-in-chief of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers’ Transactions on Wireless Communications. He also directs the Emerging Wireless Architectures Laboratory. Haenggi’s research interests include wireless communications and networking, with an emphasis on cellular, ad hoc, vehicular, cognitive, and sensor networks.
